Amazon raised its device prices across Echo, Kindle, Fire TV, and eero products by up to 60% overnight on August 21st, without any prior announcement.

Note: Ring cameras and video doorbells, as well as the Echo Studio, maintained their original prices.
Background:
Amazon attributed the price hikes to memory and storage component costs, a reason also given by Roku when they raised their streaming device prices by up to 60% four weeks prior. Apple and Microsoft have also recently announced similar price increases for their products due to global chip shortages.
