Aramco Digital, the tech arm of Saudi oil giant Aramco, has partnered with startup OrbitronAI to develop and commercialize AI tools tailored for heavy industries like oil and gas, power, mining, transport, and manufacturing.

These tools aim to address inefficiencies stemming from slow decision-making, scattered data, and extensive paperwork in large projects, supplier deals, and day-to-day operations.

The collaboration was announced at the LEAP 2026 tech show in Riyadh, Middle East AI News reported. While financial details remain undisclosed, the partnership will focus on creating AI-driven software that utilizes AI agents to process company files, integrate with business systems, and perform tasks, while keeping crucial decisions and sensitive data in human hands.

Ashraf Tahini, CEO of Aramco Digital, expressed enthusiasm:

“Through our partnership with OrbitronAI, we intend to convert that industrial advantage into scalable AI products for Aramco, our affiliates, and the wider industrial market.”

Initial development will focus on tools tailored to specific customer needs, followed by testing and eventual commercialization. The initial implementation will be in Saudi Arabia, with plans for global expansion.

Saulius Adomaitis, OrbitronAI’s co-founder and CEO, emphasized the partnership’s potential:

“Together with Aramco Digital, we are building a repeatable model for Industrial Value Recovery.”

Adomaitis brings substantial experience to the table, previously leading EY’s global oil and gas business. His co-founders include Luvy Singh, who has managed supply chains at Shell and other major firms, Ashu Gupta, the chief AI officer, and Poonam Gupta, who oversees engineering.

Aramco's commitment to AI is evident through recent investments, including a $800 million funding round for Together AI in July and support for other AI startups targeting supply chain and other industrial applications.
