SolarSquare Raises $60M at $500M Valuation

SolarSquare, an Indian rooftop solar startup, is in advanced talks to raise $55 million to $60 million at a valuation between $450 million and $500 million, according to TechCrunch. The investment will be led by B Capital and Lightspeed Venture Partners.

The round would more than double SolarSquare’s valuation from 18 months ago. Lightspeed, which led the company’s $40 million Series B in December 2024, is investing through its growth fund.

SolarSquare, founded in 2015, designs, installs, and maintains rooftop solar systems for homes, housing societies, and enterprises. It has powered nearly 50,000 homes and roughly 400 housing societies. The company has achieved an annualised revenue run rate of more than ₹10 billion (approximately $104 million).

India became the world’s third-largest solar power producer in 2025, with a cumulative installed capacity of more than 150 GW. The government aims to reach 500 GW by 2030.

SolarSquare is positioning itself as a leading platform capturing this growing demand at scale, even as other industries explore alternatives.
