Infrastructure complexity is reshaping how smaller technology firms operate

Infrastructure Complexity and Smaller Tech Firms

As communications, computing, virtualization, software development, and artificial intelligence (AI) converge, smaller technology firms are facing a unique challenge. They must cater to customers who require expertise across multiple technical layers simultaneously, all while navigating increasingly specialized systems.

Synchresis Solutions: A Multidisciplinary Approach

Synchresis Solutions, established in 2023 as a commercial venture, exemplifies this shift. The company's operations encompass a wide range, including communications infrastructure, server environments, virtualization, web development, technical support, Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), and AI technologies. This diverse scope reflects the evolving multidisciplinary nature of managing contemporary IT landscapes.

A History of Collaboration

The roots of Synchresis Solutions trace back to 2018 when founders Nick Giannak III and David Quinn Ebert connected through technology and volunteer internet-radio projects. Their partnership evolved into web product development and an internal telephone system, eventually transitioning to serving paying customers. Doron Beit-Halahmi, known as Doc, joined the team through connections in internet radio and audio communities.

Giannak's expertise spans broadcasting, telephony, server administration, hosting, corporate IT, and systems engineering. He emphasizes a holistic understanding of technology, attributing this to years of hands-on experimentation and collaborative projects within the company.

Ebert, with a background in telephony, data centers, hosting, Linux, Windows, UNIX-derived systems, and IT infrastructure, underscores the importance of customer-centric problem-solving. "The customer is where the technical conversation must begin," he states. "You must understand their issue before determining the appropriate technology."

As infrastructure continues to intertwine, a voice system's reliance on networks and servers, or a virtual machine's dependence on storage and networking, highlights the intricate relationship between various technical components. This interconnectedness presents both challenges and opportunities for smaller tech firms like Synchresis Solutions.
