INmune Bio and Quantum Computing Partner to Advance Alzheimer’s Drug Research

INmune Bio Inc. and Quantum Computing Inc. have announced a collaboration to leverage quantum optimization and artificial intelligence (AI) for Alzheimer’s drug research and exploring new applications for XPro.

Key Highlights:

  • Partnership Details: The partnership combines INmune Bio’s clinical research with QCi’s Dirac-3S quantum optimization machine.
  • Goal: Identify potential new treatment indications and biomarkers for XPro, focusing on diseases with similar biological drivers.
  • Scope: Utilize quantum computing, AI, and data analytics to analyze pre-clinical and clinical datasets.
  • Market Impact: QCi’s first commercial customer in pharmaceutical and biotechnology markets, highlighting the expanding role of quantum computing in drug development.

Quotes:

“We’ve built a large clinical dataset on Alzheimer’s and other diseases, backed by years of work with XPro... This collaboration allows us to examine patient populations and biomarkers most likely to predict responses by analyzing large data sets,” said David Moss, CEO of INmune Bio.

“This is a great example of what practical quantum computing can look like today... Our job is to bring new computing capabilities to that problem,” added Yuping Huang, Chairman and CEO of QCi.

Next Steps:

The initial engagement focuses on rare diseases, where smaller trials can be more efficient. The collaboration includes options for further work as INmune Bio progresses with its clinical development programs.
