Oura Ring 5: World’s Smallest Smart Ring at $399

Oura has unveiled the Ring 5, the world’s smallest smart ring at just 6.09mm wide, arriving three days before a likely IPO filing. The Finnish health wearable maker has packed blood pressure pattern detection and AI-powered Health Radar monitoring into this compact device, with preorders open at $399 and shipping from June 4th.

Key Features:

  • Blood Pressure Signals: Detects shifts and patterns correlating with rising blood pressure, providing alerts to users.
  • AI-powered Health Radar: Continuously tracks biometric signals including body temperature, respiratory rate, and heart rate variability, offering predictive capabilities.
  • Nighttime Breathing Feature: Provides a 30-day view of sleep-related breathing patterns and disturbances, aiding in identifying conditions like sleep apnoea.
  • GLP-1 Insights: Tracks weight and body changes for GLP-1 medication users, offering a longitudinal view of their medication journey.

Company Milestone:

The Ring 5 launch marks a significant moment for Oura as it confidently files for a US IPO, valued at approximately $11 billion following a $900 million Series E round led by Fidelity.
