  • Electric i3: $11,600 more than the entry model, with no direct petrol equivalent yet.
  • Launch Models: All four launch models reach US showrooms in Q1 2027.
  • i3 M60 xDrive: Launches later in 2027, price to be announced closer to launch.

Technical Specifications and Range

  • i3 50 xDrive: 463hp, 476lb-ft of torque, 0-60mph in 4.5 seconds, estimated range (EPA) between 446 and 468 miles.
  • M350 xDrive: 437hp from a 3.0-litre six-cylinder mild hybrid engine, 0-60mph in 3.9 seconds.

Charging and Maps

BMW’s maps can plan charging stops utilizing IONNA’s network (BMW’s preferred US fast-charging partner). At a 400kW charger, the i3 can add 191 to 208 miles in just 10 minutes.

Market Trends and Insights

Not every EV has an equivalent petrol model, making price comparisons challenging. US EV prices rose in July for the first time this year as discounts shrank. BMW (find out more), having sold two million electric cars already, emphasizes the i3's significance in their portfolio.
