California Secures Half-Price Access to Anthropic’s Claude for All State and Local Agencies
California has reached an agreement with Anthropic, granting all state agencies and local governments access to Claude at a discounted half price. Governor Gavin Newsom announced the partnership on Sunday, marking Claude as the inaugural AI productivity tool accessible statewide through the California Department of Technology’s shared services portal. Anthropic will also offer complimentary workforce training.
