Geely Sweden Holdings CEO Per Ansgar Joins Concordium Foundation Board
September 9, 2026 – 1:00 pm
Per Ansgar, CEO of Geely Sweden Holdings, joins the Concordium Foundation Board, deepening a five-year partnership focused on verified identity infrastructure for AI agents and machine-initiated payments in connected vehicles.
The appointment brings an executive with more than 26 years of experience across Volvo Cars, Polestar, and the wider Geely group to the board.
This move deepens a five-year relationship between Concordium and Geely, which began with a shared vision for autonomous driving.
As companies deploy AI agents capable of initiating transactions, Concordium develops infrastructure to establish ownership and authorization, ensuring accountability when things go wrong. Ansgar’s automotive industry experience is directly relevant, as connected vehicles move from concept to reality in machine-initiated payments for charging sessions, tolls, and service fees.
Ansgar, who has served as CEO of Geely Sweden Holdings since 2024, previously held roles at Volvo Cars including CFO of Volvo Cars China and CFO of Polestar. He currently holds board positions across the Geely group and serves on the nomination committee of Volvo Car AB (publ).
The Concordium Foundation Board includes:
- Lars Seier Christensen (Chair)
- Ueli Maurer, Professor of Cryptography at ETH Zurich
- Simone Monnerat, Swiss commercial lawyer
- Nibras Stiebar-Bang, digital executive
"Vehicles and their software are becoming parties to transactions," stated Ansgar. "Trust used to mean a driver’s signature. Now it has to mean proof of authorization and accountability. That’s what Concordium is solving, which is why I’m excited to join the board."
