On the morning of June 25, Oracle began informing approximately 500 of its Romanian employees that their positions were being eliminated, as part of the company’s ongoing global shift towards cloud and artificial intelligence.
Oracle has not publicly disclosed the exact number of local jobs impacted. This is the second round of such layoffs in Romania within a short period.
