Phonak’s New EON Hearing Aids: Power-Efficient AI Integration

Phonak’s latest innovation, the EON hearing aid, features a revolutionary HYPERSONIC processor, enabling the simultaneous operation of two AI systems while achieving a 37% reduction in power consumption compared to its predecessor.

Key Features:

  • HYPERSONIC Chip: Allows for parallel processing of two AI systems, Spheric Speech Clarity 3.0 and AutoSense OS AI 8.0, enhancing speech recognition and environmental adaptation.
  • Size and Battery Life: 25% smaller and 20% lighter than the previous Sphere generation, with up to 38 hours of battery life.
  • Speech Clarity: Wearers experience twice the understanding of speech in various directions compared to hearing aids without Spheric Speech Clarity 3.0.
  • Wind Noise Reduction: WindBlock 2.0 technology reduces wind noise by up to 50 dB, improving signal-to-noise ratios.
  • Connectivity: "Made-For-All" platform compatible with any Bluetooth device, integrating Bluetooth Classic, Roger Direct, and Auracast for seamless audio streaming from various sources.

Target Market:

Phonak targets a wide range of users with EON, including those with mild to profound hearing loss and unilateral hearing loss. The device offers eight color options.

"EON sets a new benchmark for intelligent hearing," stated Josipa Kern, global head of Phonak, “it brings together the best of both worlds: advanced AI technology and exceptional user experience."
