Skild AI hit $100M in run-rate revenue selling robots a brain that learns from one video

Skild AI Reaches $100M Recurring Revenue Run-Rate

Skild AI has achieved $100 million in recurring revenue run-rate just ten months after its initial commercial deployment. Its robots, powered by the S1 model, are now operating at over 60 companies, hosting hundreds of robots.

“This is a major milestone for us as it signifies a new chapter for robotics, moving from an era of demos to an era of deployments,” said co-founder and CEO Deepak Pathak.

The company secured a staggering $1.4 billion in January at a $14 billion valuation, marking more than a threefold increase in just seven months. In 2025, Skild’s revenue was reported to be around $30 million.

Skild doesn’t sell task-specific programming. Instead, it offers a general robot brain that learns tasks by watching a single video, encompassing sequences up to ten minutes long.

“The first time it flipped a pancake, we could not believe it,” Pathak shared, recounting a task the model had encountered for the first time during training.

Skild’s S1 model demonstrates impressive performance, achieving 96% accuracy on tasks it has seen and 66% on tasks completely new to it, with just one video demonstration often replacing hundreds of post-training examples.

Europe’s Machinery Regulation

The European Machinery Regulation, set to take effect on January 20, 2027, will for the first time regulate AI-based safety functions and machines with self-evolving behavior. This regulation requires involvement from a notified body, rather than the manufacturer’s self-declaration.

A model, like Skild’s S1, that performs tasks beyond its training data falls squarely within this new definition. While no assessments have been conducted yet, the regulation’s start date is still sixteen months away.

Skild has not disclosed its sales region, but its customers include cafes in Japan and warehouses in the United States. The company has also expanded its reach through acquisition, buying Zebra Technologies’ robotics automation business in April.

Europe is already operating these machines. A British startup’s wheeled humanoid robot successfully completed an eight-hour shift at Siemens’ Erlangen plant in January, moving approximately 60 totes per hour alongside human workers.
