SpaceXAI Launches Grok Bot: AI Agents Take on Office Work
SpaceXAI has launched Grok Bot in beta, AI agents that sign into apps and websites, retain context between tasks, and coordinate with each other. Access is initially limited to SuperGrok Heavy, Cursor Ultra, and Cursor Teams Premium subscribers, with an enterprise waitlist.
Grok Bot allows software to hand work to groups of AI agents running on their own machines. These agents sign in just like a person would and can work through interfaces rather than APIs. Multiple agents can run simultaneously, sharing knowledge and completing tasks without constant human intervention. SpaceXAI has been using them internally for various departments, including engineering, growth, and marketing.
This launch comes as no surprise, given the recent merger of SpaceXAI and Cursor, which developed a similar office agent called Sand. Elon Musk’s interest in AI agents became evident when he acquired Cursor’s parent company, Anysphere, for a staggering $60 billion in June.
Grok Bot is a response to the growing competition in the AI agent space. OpenAI’s Sam Altman recently discussed agents working together, and concerns have been raised about security risks associated with granting autonomous software sign-in credentials. These issues come to the forefront as SpaceXAI prepares to release Grok 4.6, potentially impacting their IPO story.
