This Breast Cancer Awareness Month, live-streaming platform Tango is bringing together some of its leading creator communities to raise funds for breast cancer research and encourage open conversations around a disease that affects millions globally.
From October 13–18, several of Tango’s top-performing communities, known as "Families," will participate in Stream for a Good Cause, a week-long initiative combining fundraising with creator-led discussions about breast cancer.
During designated streams, participating communities will donate 20% of their gift value to research, and Tango will triple that amount. But the initiative extends beyond fundraising: creators will share personal stories and raise awareness about prevention and early detection.
Tango Families are creator-led communities built on ongoing interaction. Throughout the week, different Families will lead activities, with participating streams gaining enhanced visibility across the platform.
“It’s a privilege to use our platform for such a cause,” said Yaniv Schwartz, EVP Creators Ecosystem & Platform Business at Tango. “The majority of our creators are women, making this initiative especially meaningful.”
Kevin, Head of L&L Family at Tango, emphasized the importance of community: "What makes a community meaningful is what we can do together... We’re turning our connections into something impactful."
Nick, Head of the Royal Angels Agency, added: “People get to know each other in our streams. This is a serious topic, and we want to treat it that way.”
Throughout the week, Tango will promote participating creators and their streams, reaching a wider audience.
