Evolutionary Operating System, Inc. (Evos) came out of stealth, announcing $9M in pre-seed funding. Uncork Capital and Field Ventures co-led the round. Crosslink Capital, Utopia Capital Management, Sandwith Ventures, and angel investors also participated.
Evos operators learn a job from a company’s most experienced people and then perform the work themselves. They operate within the systems businesses already use.
The funding will be allocated to expand the team and bring operators to businesses that make, move, and power the economy: small and mid-sized companies in physical industries.
"The most capable system in many of these businesses is the person who has been there 20 years, and what they know has never been written down," stated Urav Shah, founder and CEO of Evos. "An Evos operator learns the job from these people, improves on it, and proves it can match them before taking on any work independently. Our goal is to put that expertise on every job, every day, so these businesses can run like the best in the world do."
How Evos Operators Work
Evos is the Agentic Operations Platform for businesses overlooked by tech: it creates autonomous operators that think, decide, and act like their human counterparts.
These operators learn from observing behavior, not reading text. They take on functions autonomously once their decisions consistently align with those of their team.
The platform is self-service. An Evos operator can implement a function in 24 hours, delivering what typically takes 9-18 months with traditional consultants or implementation partners.
Evos calls this the Trifecta: one hour with experts, a working operator the next day, and measurable results within a month. Businesses control the extent of automation.
Unlike most AI tools that require constant prompting, Evos operators are given a function to execute, allowing teams to manage outcomes rather than inputs.
One freight brokerage uses an Evos operator to audit LTL carrier invoices against its TMS. In two months, it made nearly 3,500 accurate audit decisions and closed out more than $600,000 in invoice value.
